RCC embraced a new site in 2019 on the grounds of The University of Adelaide, and Neon Forest was nestled amoungst the trees on it's beautiful Barr Smith Lawns.
To give stark contrast surroundings of lush parklands and heritage buildings, the space was transformed a large, all enveloping sculpture. The white geometric shrink wrapped sculpture formed the boundary and stage of Neon Forest, and its sharp angles and a-symetricality was highligted with projection mapping and light.
Neon Forest is a unique experiential party space, with a focus on underground electronic music, visual art and performance art. We created small performance spaces and even smaller parties punters could stumble upon throughout their stay.
We once again collaborated with Dave Court designing the space and curating local visual artists for the project featuring work by Capital Waste, Hari Koutlakis, Henry Jock Walker, Daria HK, Matea Glusevic, Matt Fortrose, Liam Bosecke, and Ally Macintyre.
