Motez released the intimate five-track EP titled ‘Soulitude’, alongside a breathtaking recorded live set. Composed in response to the global mindset of isolation, the project is a raw, minimal and emotive ambient work, encompassing his own experiences and the natural human reactions to seclusion. The stunning Fleurieu Peninsula of South Australia, known for its rugged coastlines and vineyards, serves as the backdrop to the cinematic live performance that accompanies the record, elevating the beauty and vastness of the surroundings, culminating in an emotive and genuinely immersive experience.
Using the project as an opportunity to raise money and awareness for Support Act, Soulitude was recorded live on location in Deep Creek and streamed on the internet. Mapped realised the visual component of the piece, using light to complement the surreal landscape and by using a circle to symbolise the soul, the soul moved and evolved with the soundscape bringing it to life.
It was a pleasure working on such a meaningful project and one that hopefully raises money for people in the creative industry who are in dire need.
We highly encourage donating and watching the full piece here.
